Maps in World Building - Continents of Pipurim

I had been involved with some world building activities for the Chaos And Order realm, when I started working on a map for the known world of Pipurim. Indeed, there has not been much work at that repository or at the role playing forums, but I have been working on the world nevertheless. Earlier, I had worked on a constructed langauge, Pasen, and now I thought I should work a bit on the actual world by making maps.

Map Making with brush in light of candel

Langauge creation: Proto-Pasen - Syllables

As it is described in the LangMaker a start for any language, rules on how the syllables are formed had to be layed. Before that, the set of consonants and vowels had to be chosen. Keeping in mind that it would be spoken in the realm of Chaos And Order, by many races that have variant vocal structure, a overlapping set was taken.

Creation of a language

Working on the realm of Chaos And Order, I happened to notice one difference between this realm and others that were created by masters in the area. There was a lack of depth in terms of culture and history. To write about the culture and to write history, one would need to name a lot many things. The people, places, objects and even some actions need to be named. These name in turn flesh out the culture in that realm. These names define and differentiate between the different cultures of the realm.
