WikiCamp - Followup

Well, I had promised I would post the photos I took at Wikicamp. Delayed it might be due to several reasons, but I found some time to post them here.

WikiCamp in Chennai, India

Here are some snaps of Jimmy Whales, founder of Wikipedia.

And here is a sponge ball they gave at unconference.

You could throw them at each other, and this little guy here was thrown at me.

One of the event after lunch was “Blog Vs Wiki”.

Blog Vs Wiki - An event at WikiCamp

I learned that it is quite dangerous to talk about the pros of Blogs at a Wiki conference. You could be at the receiving end of the little yellow guy.

All in all, it was a good experience, but exhausting experience nevertheless. And it seems like they had a solution for that too.

Red Bull

It is a pity I could not get few snaps of the cute ladies who served these beverages. Who says us geeks do not get to socialize with the cute ones?

End of the day, I got to meet many interesting people and indulge in good exchange of thoughts. I even met Thilak, who had come over to Chennai to participate in the event.

Thilak, at WikiCamp 2007

It was nice talking to Thilak, and we discussed some of the issue regarding blog future. It involved how we could improve the quality of content and information we provide and also the fact that not all such efforts are appreciated.

And I almost forgot. How can I end this post without a snap of myself?

Mahesh at WikiCamp

As you can see, I did not look happy when my friend, Vijay took the photo. I had just then realized that the post I would do on WikiCamp would end with a photograph whose copyright would be with Vijay.

Huh. I guess, I need to be satisfied with the fact that the rest of them are under my copyright.
