Webcomics

I had dwelled on this topic before. (See the Web Comic post on my other antiquated blog, Pondering’s of Mahesh Bhat). I seem to be quite obsessed with the topic of Webcomic, and I envision similar returns on the topic in the future.

I will be looking at few of the online comic here that are my favourites, and I give regular attendance at to catch the updates.

Collaborative Documents

Lately, a development in document creation and authoring has taken place. Earilier to create a document, and if had to be more than the what the boring text editor packed with the operating system gave, one had to buy expensive software. There was another alternative - open source software. I do have a soft corner for open source, but I have to say that it has been really difficult for the open source software to taken on the strong hold maintained by the already established commercial software for one sole reason - file format.

But now, there are many other options that are emerging where one can create a document online. Ofcourse, one would need the internet connection, but in most of the areas a internet connection has become a status quo.

Langauge creation: Proto-Pasen - Syllables

As I had discussed in my earlier post, I had started to create a language that would be the basis for atleast a couple of languages that would be prevelant in the realm of Chaos And Order. (To know more about Chaos And Order, visit the forum or the blog).

As it is described in the LangMaker a start for any language, rules on how the syllables are formed had to be layed. Before that, the set of consonants and vowels had to be chosen. Keeping in mind that it would be spoken in the realm of Chaos And Order, by many races that have variant vocal structure, a overlapping set was taken.
