3D Design
March 25th, 2006 — VyomaLately, you might have noticed that I have been quite unfaithful to my blogs. I have not been posting anywhere, and I think I can fairly justify that.
I have stumbled across two great pieces of software for 3d design and modelling. Blender and Wings 3D.
Blender was a proprietry software that went free and open-source some time back. It is as versetile as any other 3d design software out there and has a very neat capability of accepting plug-ins that are writen in Python.
Wings 3D is a small software focused on model desing. Models can be designed at a very fast pased due to its non-intrusive user interface. Though, one may need to export the model to some other software (Blender or Yafray) to get a decent render.
